Shipping Policy

We ship across India from Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. Festival decor has a deadline built into
it, so this page is written to let you count backwards from the day you need it up.

How the timings work

Handling is 1-2 business days — from a confirmed order to the carton leaving us. Transit
is on top: 2-4 business days to a metro address and 4-8 business days elsewhere. Added
together that gives 3-6 business days to a metro address and 5-10 business days elsewhere, which is the figure quoted everywhere on this site.
Working days exclude Sundays and public holidays.

Ordering for a festival date. Add packing
(1-2 business days) to delivery (3-6 business days to a metro address and 5-10 business days elsewhere) and work backwards from the
day you need it up. Festival week is also the week the courier network is at its slowest, so leave more room than
the estimate suggests rather than less.

Packing

Glass votives, metal urli and ceramic pieces travel in rigid cartons with the contents separated. Paper
lanterns and garlands travel flat or in a rigid box because they crush — a paper garland posted in a mailer
arrives as a paper garland that has been sat on. Fabric items travel in a sealed mailer and will arrive
creased; hang them a day early and the creases drop out.

On delivery day

  • Look at the carton before you sign. If it is crushed or soaked, refuse it and tell us.
  • Photograph the carton and the piece if anything is wrong, before the packing goes in the bin.
  • Report damage within 48 hours of delivery to
    studio@ssdecors.shop. We replace or refund.
  • Check the piece count against the listing on arrival. Multi-piece sets are the ones where a shortfall gets
    noticed a week later, when a carrier claim is no longer possible.

Tax

S.S. Decor is a small online retailer and is not registered for GST:
turnover stays below the applicable registration threshold in India, so registration has not become compulsory.
GST is therefore not charged separately on any order, and no GST tax invoice carrying a registration number can
be issued. The figure printed beside a piece is the whole amount payable.

Orders placed after 3:00 PM IST are picked up the next working day. We do not dispatch on days the shop is closed or on public holidays, and delivery windows are estimates rather than guaranteed dates.
